Montoursville, PA – A flag replacement project will take place today on Route 61 (Veterans Memorial Bridge) in the City of Sunbury, Northumberland County.
On Wednesday, March 4, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew and the City of Sunbury will be replacing the flags along the Veterans Memorial bridge over the Susquehanna River. Drivers can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted where work is being performed. This is a moving operation and will impact both northbound and southbound traffic as crews work their way over the bridge and back.
Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
