1:00 PM UPDATE: Crash Closes Route 522 in Penn Township, Snyder County

1:00 PM UPDATE: Route 522 is open in Snyder County.

11:15 AM UPDATE: One lane of Route 522 is open. Drivers can expect single lane conditions with flagging.

7:45 AM UPDATE: Route 522 remains closed in both directions between Route 204 and University Avenue (Route 1011). The following detours are in place.

Truck Detours

  • Route 522 northbound trucks that are west of Middleburg should use Route 104, Route 35, and Route 11.
  • Route 522 southbound trucks should use Route 11, Route 35, and Route 522.

School Detours

  • Local School Traffic should use, Broad Street (Route 2019) and University Avenue (Route 1011) in Selinsgrove.

Local non-commercial traffic should use the following:

  • Northbound Route 522 traffic should use Clifford Road (Route 2016), Sassafras Street (Route 2016), and Market Street (Route 2017).
  • Southbound Route 522 traffic should use Market Street (Route 2017), Route 35, and Middle Creek Road (Route 2009).

Montoursville, PA – A crash has closed Route 522 in both directions between Route 204 and University Avenue (Route 1011) in Penn Township, Snyder County.

A detour using local roads is in place. Additional detour information will be provided. Drivers should be alert, slow down, and expect delays in travel.
