Montoursville, PA – Drivers are advised a bridge replacement project will begin soon on Old State Road (Route 2022) in Sullivan Township, Tioga County. The bridge located between Mainesburg Road (Route 2029) and Old Mill Road (Route 2031) carries Old State Road over a tributary to Corey Creek.
Beginning Monday, May 18, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew will begin removing the existing bridge to replace it with a new box beam structure with concrete deck and walls.
Old State Road will be closed during the project, which is expected to be completed in September 2026, weather permitting. A detour using Mainesburg Road, Route 6, and Old Mill Road will be in place.
