Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that the Route 30 at Cedar Street Improvement Project is scheduled to begin Monday, April 13 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, weather permitting.
Traffic Impacts:
Single-lane restrictions
- Westbound Route 30 between the Mt.Pleasant Road on-ramp and the Cedar Street exit as needed from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM through mid-June.
Closures
- Cedar Street Exit will be closed on April 20, April 21, May 20 and May 21
- A posted detour will be in place using Route 30, Route 119, Huff Avenue, Broad Street, Rugh Street, and Summit Drive.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution driving through the work zone. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Crews from Power Contracting Company will perform work as part of the Route 30 at Cedar Street safety improvement project. This project is designed to enhance safety along the westbound Route 30 and Cedar Street exit ramp. Work will include installation of a new guide sign leading up to the exit ramp, application of high friction surface treatment on the ramp, and pavement marking arrows will be added. An infrastructure investment of $377,250.
