Route 22 Surface Improvement Project Begins in Washington County

Uniontown, PA— The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing single-lane restrictions on Route 22 (William Penn Highway) between Route 18 and the West Virginia State Line in Hanover Township, Washington County beginning Friday, May 22, weather permitting.

Drivers can expect:

  • Single-lane restrictions
  • Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Work expected to continue through late October

Crews from Golden Eagle will perform milling, joint repair, base repair, leveling, wearing and painting as part of a $6.2 million surface improvement project in Washington County.

Drivers should exercise caution while traveling through work zones and remain alert for workers. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
