Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of June 15. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge replacement:
- Route 4041 (Denmark Manor Rd) in Penn Township
- Road closed between Manor Valley Golf Course and Harrison City Export Road

Base repair:

Cleaning ditch channels:
- Route 1008 (Derry Ridge Road) in Derry and Fairfield townships
Crack sealing:
- Route 31 (Glades Pike Road) in Mt. Pleasant and Donegal townships
Paving:
- Route 3079 (Millersdale Road) in Hempfield Township
- Route 4031 (Baker School Road) in Penn Township
Pipe Extension:
- Route 2021 (Kecksburg Road) in Mt. Pleasant Township
Pipe installation/drainage:
- Route 1026 (Donohoe Rd) in Unity Township
- Route 3073 (Buttermore Road) in East Huntingdon Township
- Route 1008 (Derry Ridge Road) in Derry and Fairfield townships
Inlet adjustment:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Mount Pleasant Township
Parallel ditching:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Hempfield Township
Shoulder cutting:
- Various routes in Bell, Washington, and Allegheny townships
- Route 711 in Ligonier Township
Shoulder stabilization:
- Route 4031 (Baker School Road) in Penn Township
- Route 3045 (Mars Hill Road) in Sewickley Township
- Route 981 (Alverton/Mt Pleasant Road) in East Huntingdon Township
Spray patching:
- Various routes in Sewickley and North Huntington township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
