Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Westmoreland County Maintenance Manager Dave Forkey has announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 6. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
Drivers can anticipate detours, flaggers, moving operations, and/or single-lane restrictions. Please drive cautiously through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Bridge replacement:
- Route 4041 (Denmark Manor Rd) in Penn Township
- Road closed between Manor Valley Golf Course and Harrison City Export Road

Base repair:

Cleaning ditch channels:
- Route 1008 (Derry Ridge Road/Twin Maples Road) in Derry Township
Crack sealing:
- Route 981 in Derry Township
- Route 136 (Main ST) West Newton Borough
- Route 31 in Donegal and Mount Pleasant townships
Pipe replacement:
- Route 1026 (Donohoe Road) in Unity Township
Inlet adjustment:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Mount Pleasant Township
Patching:
- Various routes in Upper Burrell and Washington townships
Parallel ditching:
- Route 819 (Diamond Street) in Hempfield Township
- Route 3089 (Buttermore Avenue) in Hempfield Township
Parallel pipe:
- Route 381 (Weavertown Road) in Cook Township
- Route 982 in Unity Township
Surface treatment:
- Route 4031 (Baker School Road) in Penn Township

Shoulder stabilization:

Underdrain work:
- Route 819 (Porter Avenue) in East Huntingdon Township
Crews will pick litter, replace downed signs, and update existing signs, as well as address work orders on various state routes throughout the county.
