Nightly lane restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 70.
Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that nightly single-lane restrictions are scheduled to occur in both directions of Interstate 70 between Exit 25 (519/Eighty Four/Glyde) and Exit 32B (917/Bentleyville) in Somerset and North Strabane townships, Washington County, beginning Tuesday, June 9, at 6:00 PM. All work depends on weather and operations.
Single-lane restrictions will be in place nightly Sundays through Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM until early November.
Crews from North East Paving-Eurovia will perform milling and resurfacing of Interstate 70 mainline and shoulders, two-inch milling and overlay of ramps at Route 8022 (Eighty Four Interchange), Route 8024 (Dunningsville Interchange) and Route 8026 (Kammerer Interchange). Additional work includes asphalt patching, updates to drainage, signing, delineation, guiderails, and rock slope repair. Infrastructure investment-$25 million.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution driving through the work zone. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
