Southbound Interstate 79 ramp to Eastbound Interstate 70 Traffic Shift Monday in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing a shoulder closure and traffic shift on the southbound Interstate 79 ramp to eastbound Interstate 70 (New Stanton/Morgantown) will occur Monday, July 7 in South Strabane Township, Washington County weather permitting.

Traffic will be shifted, and the shoulder will close on the Interstate 79 ramp to eastbound Interstate 70 (New Stanton/Morgantown) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 7 to allow PennDOT staff to conduct routine inspection activities of the structures carrying eastbound/westbound Interstate 70 over the ramp.

All work is dependent on weather and operational conditions. If inclement weather occurs on Monday, these inspection activities and traffic restrictions will occur from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9.
