Interstate 70 CCTV Pole Installation Next Week in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing scheduled daily single-lane and shoulder restrictions on Interstate 70 in Twilight Borough, Washington County, beginning next week:  

  • Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23
  • Daylight Hours (7:00 AM-5:00 PM)
  • Between mile post 39 and 39.1

All work is dependent on weather and operational conditions.

A power contractor for the PA Turnpike Commission will be installing a closed-circuit television (CCTV) pole foundation for its intelligent transportation system (ITS) equipment – an infrastructure investment of $8 million.
