Districtwide Highway Lighting Repairs Begin Tomorrow

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing nighttime single-lane restrictions and daytime shoulder closures are scheduled to occur on an as needed basis beginning Wednesday, February 12 on: 

  • Interstate 70 from Exit 1 (West Alexander) to Exit 57 (New Stanton/ Hunker).
  • Interstate 79 from Exit 1 (Route 19/Mount Morris) to Exit 48 (Southpointe/Hendersonville).
  • Route 119 at the Route 21/McClellandtown Road Interchange.

Nighttime restrictions will be in place, as needed, between 9:00 PM-5:00 AM, on the above roadways through the end of June. All work is dependent on weather and operations.

Crews from Pennline Services will be working on lighting repairs to include conventional light poles, high mast lighting, and overhead sign lighting – an infrastructure investment of $426,000.
