Pittsburgh, PA –The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing weekend-long restrictions on southbound Interstate 79 in Robinson and Kennedy townships, Allegheny County will occur Friday through Monday, September 25-28 weather permitting.
To accommodate patching operations, southbound I-79 will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between approximately one-half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton (Exit 60 A/B) and the I-376 Airport/Pittsburgh (Exit 59 A/B) interchanges from 7:00 PM Friday continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning. The restrictions could be lifted earlier if the work is completed sooner.
Please allow extra time and use caution if traveling on this roadway. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
