Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing roadway improvement work on Shannon Road (Route 2071) and Poketa Road (Route 2074) in the Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County will begin Tuesday, September 8 weather permitting.
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur in the following locations according to the schedule below:
- Shannon Road (Route 2071) between Hamil Road and Second Avenue
- Poketa Road (Route 2074) between Hulton Road and Verona Road
Weekdays
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Weekends
- Weekend work is permissible, as needed.
Work on this $7.61 million group paving project includes milling and paving, drainage improvements, base repairs, line striping, and other miscellaneous construction activities. A. Liberoni, Inc. is the prime contractor. These restrictions are expected to conclude in late summer 2027.
