Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing signal upgrade work on Route 286 (Golden Mile Highway) in the Municipality of Monroeville and Plum Borough, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, May 4 weather permitting.
Short-term lane restrictions will occur on Route 286 from 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM weekdays through late November at the following intersections:
- New Texas Road for installation of new signals
- Pine Valley Drive for installation of new signals
- Sandune Drive for installation of new signals
- Holiday Park Drive for installation of new signals
- Rickenbaker Drive for signal upgrade work
- Old Frankstown Road for signal upgrade work
- Kane Road for signal upgrade work
Additionally, shoulder restrictions will occur on Route 286 between Rickenbaker Drive and Holiday Park Drive weekdays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Crews will begin with foundation work.
Please use caution if traveling through the corridor. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
