Route 2040 Lebanon Church Road, Curry Hollow Road Improvement Work Starts Monday in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions on Route 2040 (Lebanon Church Road, Curry Hollow Road) in West Mifflin, Pleasant Hills, and Baldwin boroughs, and South Park Township, Allegheny County will begin on Monday, March 2 weather permitting.  

Around-the-clock single-lane restrictions will begin at approximately 5:00 AM Monday in the following locations:

·       Lebanon Church Road between Ceco and Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard) through early September. Crews will conduct waterline installation, storm drainage improvements, concrete curb work, concrete base repair, paving, and block wall work.

·       Curry Hollow Road between Route 51 (Clairton Boulevard) and Arbor Lane through early September. Crews will conduct waterline installation, storm drainage improvements, concrete curb work, concrete base repair, paving, driveway adjustments, concrete sidewalk work.

·       Curry Hollow Road between Arbor Lane and Broughton Road through late June. Crews will conduct signal work, curb replacement, drainage improvements, and paving.

Work on this $28.16 million betterment project includes widening, milling and paving, concrete patching, drainage improvements, signal upgrades, and guide rail updates will occur between Broughton Road in South Park Township and Ceco Drive in West Mifflin Borough. The project will occur in phases and require short-term and long-term lane closures, weekend lane restrictions, and a short-term ramp detour at the Route 51 interchange. The overall project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2027.
