Route 158 Improvement Work Resumes in Lawrence County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 158 (South New Castle Street, North Market Street) in Wilmington Township and New Wilmington Borough, Lawrence County will resume today, Monday, March 23 weather permitting.

Single-lane alternating traffic will occur on Route 158 between Route 18 and Mercer County weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through late June. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.

The prime contractor is Shields Paving on this $3.87 million group paving project. Improvement work includes milling and paving, base repairs, curb replacement, and other various construction related activities.
