Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection activities on Interstate 79 in Bridgeville Borough and South Fayette Township, Allegheny County will occur next week, Tuesday through Thursday nights, May 26-28 weather permitting.
There will be single-lane restrictions and shoulder closures from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM each night through Friday morning, May 29 in the following locations:
- I-79, in both directions, just north of the Route 50/Bridgeville (Exit 54) interchange
- The on-ramp from westbound Route 50 to northbound I-79
Crews from HDR, Inc. and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the inspection activities. Please stay alert and drive cautiously – safety is everyone’s responsibility.
