Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing pavement repair work along eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) in Edgewood and Swissvale boroughs and the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur tonight, Thursday, September 3 weather permitting.
A single-lane restriction will occur on eastbound I-376 (Parkway East) between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange Thursday night from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM to accommodate pavement repair work.
To help keep drivers informed as work progresses, PennDOT has created an email distribution list for Parkway East traffic advisories and construction updates. Enroll by sending email addresses to ymanyisha@pa.gov. Please write “Subscribe – Parkway East” in the subject line.
Travelers can check conditions on major roads by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
