Highland Park Bridge Inspection Begins Next Week in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing bridge inspection work on the Highland Park Bridge, which carries Route 1005 over the Allegheny River in O’Hara Township and the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, begin Monday, May 4 weather permitting.

Crews from HW Lochner will conduct inspection activities on the Highland Park Bridge requiring single lane restrictions from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day according to the following schedule:

  • Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8 – Northbound direction
  • Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15 – Southbound direction

Single-lane restrictions will occur in both directions on the bridge, however, not simultaneously.
