Pittsburgh, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing utility work on the Boulevard of the Allies (Route 2208) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Sunday night, July 26 weather permitting.
Beginning Sunday, single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers will occur on the Boulevard of the Allies in both directions between Cherry Way and Stanwix Street each night from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Once the I-376 Commercial Street Bridge reopens to traffic and the detour is lifted, these Boulevard of the Allies restrictions will occur from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM through late September. Crews from Wilson Excavating will conduct gas mainline repair work for Peoples Natural Gas.
