Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to view plans regarding the McNees Bridge Replacement in Kittanning Township, Armstrong County.
The purpose of the virtual plans display for this bridge replacement project is to share preliminary information on the project’s status, schedule, design, and right-of-way acquisition. Construction of the project is anticipated for April 2028.
The project consists of replacing the existing structure carrying State Route 2008 (Red Mill Road) over Mill Run. Traffic control during construction will utilize a detour.
An online presentation of the project has been posted which outlines and explains the proposed plans and schedule for this project. To access the webpage visit https://www.pa.gov/agencies/penndot/projects-near-you/district-10-projects, click on Armstrong County Projects, then choose the McNees Bridge Replacement. The presentation will be available from May 6 through June 5, 2026.
