Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 68 Dolby Street to Trout Run Project in Monroe and Clarion townships, Clarion County will be entering the first phase of construction on March 23.
Crews will be continuing water line and sewer line installation/relocation and will be starting phase 1 construction of the box culvert over Trout Run.
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM lane restrictions will be in place as needed on Route 68 between Dolby Street and Trout Run. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers. Motorists should be alert for lane restrictions, stopped traffic and potential delays.
The purpose of the project is to increase mobility, accessibility and safety for pedestrians and motorists. This project involves the widening and realignment of Route 68 including the addition of a middle turn lane the entire length of the project limits and the replacement of the bridge that carries Route 68 over Trout Run. Additional work to be completed will include guide rail updates, drainage improvements and utility relocations.
Contractor, Francis J. Palo Inc., Clarion, PA will be completing this $13.3 million project anticipated to be completed in fall 2027.
