Route 422 Paving to Begin in April in Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is a resurfacing project from the Lawrence County line east to West Park Road in Slippery Rock and Muddy Creek townships, Butler County.

Resurfacing work is scheduled from April 1 through October 30 along Route 422 from the intersection with McConnel’s Mill Road to West Park Road. Drivers should expect single lane closures both eastbound and westbound as needed for the duration of the project. 

There are four ramps included in the project with additional information regarding closures and detour routes to be announced.

Lindy Paving Inc., of New Galilee, PA is completing this $5.6 million resurfacing project, which is estimated to be completed at the end of October 2026.
