Paving to Begin in April on Routes 68 and 228 in Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is alerting motorists to upcoming resurfacing on Routes 68 and 228 in Chicora Borough, Summit, Oakland and Clinton townships in Butler County.

The work is anticipated to begin April 13 and continue through July 17 on the following roads:

  • Route 68 in Chicora Borough and Donegal Township just east of the Chicora Borough line to Glennford Village Road
  • Route 68 in Summit and Oakland Townships from the interchange with Route 422 to T-840
  • Route 228 in Clinton Township from Victory Road to South Pike Road (Route 356).

Additional information will be released prior to the start of each project to alert motorists to any potential traffic delays. During construction, drivers can expect single lane closures with flagging.  Work is weather dependent.

Commercial Asphalt Supply Inc./DBA Shields Asphalt of Valencia, PA is completing this roadway maintenance as part of a $3.24 million contract.
