The bridge is located on Route 4001 between Route 296 (Belmont Turnpike) and Little Keen Road. The proposed replacement includes a precast concrete box culvert. Work is expected to occur during the 2024 construction season. The existing metal pipe arch bridge was built in 1962 and is posted with a 10-ton weight limit. Approximately 325 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.

Additional Project Information

Detour

The roadway will be closed to vehicular traffic and detoured at the bridge during construction.  A 5-mile detour will be posted using Route 296 (Belmont Turnpike), Route 4002 (Stanton Drive), and Route 4001 (Elk Lake Drive).
