Overhead Sign Inspections this Week in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a sign inspection work on various roadways, ramps, and bridges in Allegheny County will occur Tuesday through Friday, December 10-13 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions will occur from 9 a.m. to noon each day according to the following schedule:

Tuesday, December 10

  • Tarentum Bridge (Route 366) in both directions in Tarentum Borough, Allegheny County and the City of New Kensington, Westmoreland County
  • Northbound Route 28 ramp to Fox Chapel Road/Waterworks Drive/Freeport Road (Exit 8) in Aspinwall Borough and O’Hara Township
  • Southbound Route 28 ramp to the Highland Park Bridge/Aspinwall (Exit 6) in Aspinwall Borough

Wednesday, December 11

  • Southbound I-279 (Parkway North) ramp to East Street (Exit 4) in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Southbound I-279 (Parkway North) ramp to North Shore (Exit 1B) in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Northbound I-279 (Parkway North) to McKnight Road/Evergreen Road (Exit 4) in the City of Pittsburgh

Thursday, December 12

  • Route 19 in both directions at the I-79 interchange in Marshall Township
  • Northbound I-79 approximately one mile north of the Route 60 Crafton/Moon Run (Exit 60) interchange in Kennedy Township
  • Eastbound I-376 ramp to Ridge Road (Exit 61) in Robinson Township

Friday, December 13

  • Route 28 in both directions at the 31st Street Bridge/Strip District (Exit 2) interchange in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Route 28 in both directions at East Ohio Street (Exit 1B) interchange in the City of Pittsburgh

Crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the sign inspection activities.
