Overhead Sign Inspections Next Week in Allegheny County

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing a sign inspection work on various roadways, ramps, and bridges in Allegheny County will occur Monday through Wednesday, December 16-18 weather permitting.

Single-lane restrictions and traffic shifts will occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day according to the following schedule:

Monday, December 16

  • Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885) ramp to I-579 in the City of Pittsburgh
  • 40th Street Bridge (Route 2124) in both directions in the City of Pittsburgh

Tuesday, December 17

  • Boulevard of the Allies (Route 885) ramp to the Liberty Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Eastbound Boulevard of the Allies at the Liberty Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Northbound I-279 ramp to the Boulevard of the Allies in the City of Pittsburgh
  • Northbound I-279 ramp to Fort Pitt Boulevard in the City of Pittsburgh

Wednesday, December 11

  • I-376 (Parkway East) ramps to and from Braddock Avenue at the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) in Edgewood and Swissvale boroughs

Crews from Mackin Engineering and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the sign inspection activities.
