    TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 66 Closure Between Dime Road and Spruce Hollow Road on Monday in Bethel Township, Armstrong County

    ​Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 66 between Dime Road and Spruce Hollow will be closed for approximately one hour starting at 8:45 AM on August 12, 2024, in Armstrong County as the Pennsylvania State Police perform a crash reconstruction.

    To detour, trucks will follow Dime Road to Route 66 into Vandergrift.  Standard vehicles will travel Dime Road to Spruce Hollow Road to Route 66.

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

    511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
