A $1.7 million resurfacing project that will give motorists a smoother ride on more than a mile of Route 18 in Greenville Borough, Mercer County is scheduled to begin next week.
The project will include paving of 1.43 miles of roadway from Route 358 in Greenville Borough to the beginning of the four lanes near SERVPRO in West Salem Township.
Work will include milling and paving, tree trimming, minor drainage upgrades, and the installation of new concrete curb ramps.
Construction is expected to begin Monday, August 7, 2023, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed by November 2023.
Motorists may encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers.
Drivers should be alert for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions.
Drivers should anticipate travel delays during active work hours.
The contractor is Lindy Paving, Inc. of New Galilee, PA. The contract cost is $1,710,008, which is to be paid for entirely with federal funds.
