Montoursville, PA – In an effort to improve our environment and clean up our local roadways, PennDOT maintenance crews in Lycoming County began picking up litter this week along Interstate 180 in both directions.
Crews began the litter pickup on the interstate on Monday, March 11, 2024, and will continue through Friday, March 22, 2024, during daylight hours, weather permitting.
Beginning Monday, March 18, 2024, to Friday, March 29, 2024, crews will expand their litter pickup operations to include Routes 15 and 220 in Lycoming County.
There will be no impacts to traffic during litter cleanup activities. Motorists are reminded to slow down, drive with caution, be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicle, and watch for workers near the roadway, along interchanges and entrance/exit ramps.
