Work is part of Centerville Road Interchange Project
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe work is set to begin tonight on Centerville Road in Manor Township, Lancaster County. This work, which is associated with the Centerville Road Interchange improvement project, will be performed from just south of Route 462 (Columbia Avenue) to just south of Cornerstone Drive in the township.
Weather permitting, work will be from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM tonight, Monday, June 12, through Thursday night, June 15. The contractor may work the night of Friday, June 16, if needed. A lane restriction will be in place with flaggers providing traffic control.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
Upcoming lateral pipe work at the intersection of Centerville Road and Cornerstone Drive will require a daytime closure of Cornerstone Drive at the intersection. An updated press release will be issued once that date is confirmed.
This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. The project includes work on Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue (Route 23), and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road.
JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
