Bridge to be inspected
Harrisburg, PA – Motorists in York County are advised there will be daytime lane width restrictions this week on the Route 181 bridge spanning Conewago Creek between the boroughs of Manchester and York Haven. These restrictions will be in place so a contractor can inspect the bridge.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from approximately 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Friday, September 29, and Saturday, September 30.
The bridge will be inspected using an inspection crane from the roadway. Traffic will be shifted away from the crane. Two-way traffic will be maintained with channelized lanes across the bridge.
Flaggers will be used to ensure safety at the roadway intersections adjacent to the bridge.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
