I-81 bridge over Conodoguinet Creek in Silver Spring Twp., Miller Street bridge over I-81 in E. Pennsboro Twp., to be inspected
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a contractor is scheduled next week to inspect the Interstate 81 bridge spanning Conodoguinet Creek in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, and the Miller Street (Route 1019) bridge spanning I-81 in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County. Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions of I-81.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed on both bridges from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Monday, May 13, and Tuesday, May 14.
The I-81 bridge spans Conodoguinet Creek between Exit 52 (Route 11/I-76/Middlesex/Kingstown) and Exit 57 (Route 114/Mechanicsburg). There will be right lane restrictions in both directions for I-81 during work hours.
The Miller Street bridge spans I-81 just south of Exit 65 (Route 11/Route 15/Enola). There will be alternating left and right lane closures in both directions of I-81 during work hours.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
