Bridge spans Chiques Creek just north of Route 23 (Marietta Avenue)
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project is scheduled to begin on Kinderhook Road (Route 4003) in West Hempfield and Rapho townships, Lancaster County. The bridge spans Chiques Creek about a half mile north of Route 23 (Marietta Avenue).
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, April 10. The bridge will be closed. A detour will be in place using Route 23, Route 441, Route 772, Route 230, and Longnecker Road (also designated Route 4003).
Susquehanna Valley Construction Corporation of New Cumberland, PA, is the contractor on this $3,181,665 project.
All work is expected to be completed by October 20, 2023.
