Bridge Inspection Next Week on I-81 Over Conococheague Creek in Franklin County

​Lane restrictions Monday and Tuesday on I-81 between Exit 17 and Exit 20

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that an inspection is planned for next week on the Interstate 81 bridge spanning Conococheague Creek near Chambersburg in Franklin County.

Weather permitting, the inspection will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday, July 15, and Tuesday, July 16, on the bridge, which spans the creek between Exit 17 (Walker Road) and Exit 20 (Route 997/Scotland) in Greene Township.

Work will be performed in the northbound direction on Monday, and the southbound direction on Tuesday. There will be right lane restrictions in place in the direction the inspection is being performed.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
