Bridge to be inspected
Harrisburg, PA – Motorists traveling on southbound Interstate 81 in Lebanon County are advised there will be daytime lane restrictions next week on the southbound I-81 bridge spanning Swatara Creek and Route 72 approximately 7.5 miles south of Exit 100 (Route 443/Pine Grove). The restrictions will be in place so the bridge can be inspected.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed Monday, November 13, through Wednesday, November 15, with a southbound right lane closure from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. One lane will remain open each day.
Inspectors plan to inspect the bridge using an inspection crane from the roadway.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
