​ Traffic impacts Tonight, Tomorrow Night, at Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in Lancaster County

Contractor to pave cross pipe trenches from Route 30 to Estelle Drive

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions tonight and tomorrow night for paving operations on Centerville Road at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.

Weather permitting, the contractor will pave cross pipe trenches on Centerville Road from the Route 30 Interchange to Estelle Drive. Work will be performed from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM tonight, Wednesday, April 19, and tomorrow night, Thursday, April 20.

Traffic will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers directing traffic through the work zone. 
 
Travelers are advised to find alternate routes as delays will be encountered during this nighttime work.

This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. The project includes work on Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue (Route 23), and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road.

JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
