King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is scheduled on several state highways next week in Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, under several projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia Region.
The work schedules and locations are:
Bucks County
- Monday, March 27, through mid-April, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 73 (Township Line Road) between Washington Avenue and Route 232 (Windy Bush Road) in Wrightstown and Buckingham townships for milling and paving.
Delaware County
- Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 13 between Morton Avenue and the Delaware State Line in Trainer and Marcus Hook boroughs and the City of Chester for utility adjustments and paving; and
- Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on 9th Street between Baker Street and U.S. 13 (Highland Avenue) in Trainer Borough and City of Chester for milling.
Montgomery County
- Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Yerkes Road between Level Road and Saffron Way in Lower Providence Township for milling and paving.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surfaces and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
