Pavement Repair Scheduled at Night Next Week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge pavement repair is scheduled next week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) in Philadelphia under a $100.6 million project to rehabilitate the Wayne Junction Viaduct over the SEPTA tracks and Nicetown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, from 6:00 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures will be in place on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between Fox Street and Interstate 76.
  • Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM the following morning, periodic single and double lane closures will be in place on northbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) between Interstate 76 and Fox Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
