Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) installations and barrier removal are planned Wednesday, May 22, on Interstate 95 through the ongoing permanent reconstruction project at the Cottman Avenue Interchange in Northeast Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Wednesday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge and Academy Road interchanges for ITS installations.
- Wednesday, May 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and Betsy Ross Bridge interchanges for barrier removal.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
