Bridge Inspection and Other Construction Activities Scheduled on I-95, U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Philadelphia

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge inspection and other construction activities are scheduled on Interstate 95 and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Philadelphia.

The work schedules and locations are:

  • Monday, June 19, though Friday, June 23, from 8:00 PM through 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Girard Avenue and Columbus Boulevard interchanges for concrete road patching;
  • Monday, June 19, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Adams Avenue and Summerdale Avenue for intersection improvements; and
  • Tuesday, June 20, through Thursday, June 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Route 611 (Broad Street) and the Enterprise Avenue interchanges for bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
