Traffic Shift Planned Monday Night on U.S. 1 in Bensalem, Middletown Townships

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a traffic shift is planned on Monday night, May 12, on U.S. 1 under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

The traffic shift will move northbound and southbound U.S. 1 traffic to the northbound side through the work area to allow crews to reconstruct the roadway at the crossovers that have been used during construction. The new pattern is expected to remain in place until approximately mid-June.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
