King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is planned next week on U.S. 422 in North Coventry and West Pottsgrove townships, Chester County, and Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) and Grosstown Road in North Coventry and West Pottsgrove townships, Chester County, for geotechnical drilling.
- Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 between Keim Street and Grosstown Road in North Coventry Township, Chester County, for test borings.
- Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the ramps to-and-from Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) to eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 will be closed and detoured in North Coventry Township, Chester County, for test drilling. Motorists will be directed to follow the posted detour to access Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).
- Tuesday, May 27, through Friday, May 30, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, for roadway reconstruction.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
