King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is planned next week on U.S. 422 in North Coventry Township, Chester County, and Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, May 19, through Thursday, May 22, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township for roadway reconstruction.
- Monday, May 19, through Friday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the ramp from eastbound U.S. 422 to Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) will be closed and detoured in North Coventry Township, Chester County, for geotechnical borings. Motorists will be directed to continue on eastbound U.S. 422, exit at Keim Street, and take the ramp to westbound U.S. 422 to access Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
