King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that base repair operations are planned on several state highways in Bucks and Montgomery counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County:
- Monday, May 12, through Friday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Comly Avenue will be closed between Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue) and Hulmeville Avenue in Langhorne Manor Borough. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 413 (Bellevue Avenue), Business U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway), and Hulmeville Avenue.
Montgomery County:
- Tuesday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Keim Street will be closed between Mulberry Street and Buchert Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Buchert Road, Kepler Road, Sunnybrook Road, and Mulberry Street.
- Wednesday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Keim Street will be closed between Buchert Road and Route 663 (Charlotte Street) in Lower Pottsgrove Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Buchert Road, Washington Street, Mervine Street, and Route 663 (Charlotte Street).
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
