Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised an embankment repair project is set to begin next week on Route 87 in Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County.
The week of Monday, October 28, 2024, the contractor, Rylind Construction, will begin constructing a sheet pile wall along Loyalsock Creek along Route 87 between Slabtown Bridge and Pier 87 Restaurant.
Work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Motorists can expect to encounter lane shifts around work area with flagging and lane restrictions where work is being performed.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
Rylind Construction Company Inc. is the prime contractor for this $900,000 embankment stabilization project. Work includes placement of a steel sheet pile wall along Route 87 between the roadway and Loyalsock Creek, pavement repairs and overlay of the existing roadway and guide rail resets. The project is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2025.
