7 PM Update: Roads Impacted by Flooding, Downed Trees or Utilities in North Central Pennsylvania

Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised the following roads in the area (listed by county) are closed or have a lane restriction due to flooding, downed trees or utilities. Updates will be sent periodically.

Columbia

  • Route 2022 (Scotch Valley Road) between Route 2024 (Beaver Valley Road) and Chapel Hill Road in Beaver Township, for downed utilities.

Montour

  • (OPEN) Route 3010 (Steckermill Road) between Keefer Mill Road and Narehood Road in Liberty Township, due to flooding.

Northumberland

  • Route 1025 (Shakespeare Road) between Route 45 and South Mill Road in East Chillisquaque Township, due to flooding.
  • (OPEN) Route 3016 (Hooflander Road) between Route 3003 (Hooflander Road) and Greenbrier Road in Jordan Township, due to downed utilities.
  • Route 3004 (Point Breeze Road) between Route 125 (Stitzer Road) and Route 2044 (Upper Road) in East Cameron Township, due to downed utilities.

Snyder

  • Route 2009 (Middle Creek Road) between Dam Hill Road in Union Township and Bake Oven Hill Road in Penn Township, due to flooding.

Sullivan

  • Route 4021 (Churchill Street) between Route 220 and Overton Road in Dushore, due to flooding.
  • Route 3013 (Muncy Street) between Route 220 and Route 42 (Main Street) in Laporte, for downed utilities.

Union

  • Route 2001 (Beaver Run Road) between Route 192 (Buffalo Road) and Cannon Road in Buffalo Township, due to flooding.

PennDOT cautions motorists to never drive through flooded roadways, as it takes just two feet of fast-moving water to float a car. Anyone who drives around barriers intended to close a road can face increased penalties if emergency responders are called to rescue motorists who disregard traffic control signs.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
