Rest Area at Mile Marker 194 Closed Due to Water Line Break

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) alerted motorists that the rest area at mile marker 194 along Interstate 80 westbound closed this afternoon due to a water line break. PennDOT does not expect it to reopen before the afternoon of Thursday, December 5.

PennDOT will issue an update once the facility has reopened. In the meantime, drivers may still utilize the rest areas at mile markers 220 and 147. The eastbound facility at mile marker 194 also remains open.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
