Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 has announced that bridge improvements will begin next weekend on Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) over Route 66 (Amos K. Hutchinson Bypass), between Hempfield Boulevard/Hempfield Square and Agnew Road in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County.
Shoulder restrictions and lane shifts (reducing width to 11 feet) are scheduled continuously from Monday morning, October 23 until mid-November depending on weather and operations.
Crews from CriLon Corp will be removing and replacing expansion dams and repairing parts of the bridge deck as needed – an investment of $1.65 million.
Commuters should expect delays as this is a high traffic area.
Exercise caution during night work and while approaching the work zone. Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
