Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 1027 (Richey Road) is scheduled to close beginning Monday, September 16, between Route 1066 (Richey Road Extension) and Route 1048 (Longanecker Road) in Bullskin Township, Fayette County.
Fayette County maintenance department bridge crew will be replacing the structure that carries Richey Road over a tributary of Irish Run with a precast concrete box culvert. Work includes approach roadway widening, paving, and guide rail replacement – a $600K infrastructure investment.
A posted detour will be in place using:
- Route 1027 (Richey Road).
- Route 1042 (Crossroads Road).
- Route 119 (Memorial Boulevard).
- Route 982 (Pleasant Valley Road).
- Route 1048 (Longanecker Road).
The closure is anticipated through mid-November. All work depends on weather and operations.
